My First Egg
Soft and velvet textured round,
Yellow bubble holding sound.
Butter, salt some pepper too,
Mouth is watering, can’t wait to chew.
Fork pierces perfections mound
Yellow slathered all around.
Nicely buttered toast to dip
yummy yellow yolk to lips.
Luscious taste dances on my tongue
Memories flood from days of young.
All too soon I clean my plate
Savouring every bite I ate.
Hen’s come clucking at my door
Off you go, please lay some more!
